Greenland Landscape

Another view of Greenland from 33,000 feet, again through some light fog.
We passed by around noon local time, so the shadows give you an
idea of just how far north we were.

One of my most satisfying window seats ever. The return trip from Frankfurt to LA
had us go up over Greenland. My first time ever for seeing glaciers, icebergs and
the frozen sea. I am not sure why it is called Greenland, because the roughly 2,000
miles we traversed was almost nothing but snow and ice. I was blessed with being on
the right side of the plane (literally) and having a mostly cloud-free view.
(Not the case as we passed by Iceland)

Great shots, Sam! I stumbled upon this gallery in PBase most popular, and only after a while realized they were taken by you.

Mind boggling. That is a lot of snow flakes gathered in one place. Some of the best shot from the air I have seen BV
