Part of Pontiac's "Murals on Main Street", twenty hand painted murals
located throughout the city.
This traditional design is an example of the Walldogs' efforts to restore classic
outdoor wall advertising designs throughout the world. Many of these murals can
still be found as "ghost signs" - outdoor advertising signs which are faded, flaking,
and yet, still visible. This sign pays tribute to the "walldogs" of earlier years.
It was designed by the TRIPLE BERNIES - Bernie Gietl, a postal carrier in Carlinville, IL,
Bernie Lohmeyer, a sign painter from Osage City, KS, and Bernie Poff, owner of Bernie's Signs
in Prairie Du Sac, WI.
