Did anyone hear it fall?

I've had a few days break from Pbase. I lost interest in the January challenge due to the bickering on the forum page and the feeling I was posting pictures just for the sake of it.
So from now on I'm going to be more selective and only post pictures I like. Will anyone notice?

Great fallen tree shot and love the additions to the drops gallery.

Hope they did...if they were near by.
:-)
To be honest, Johnny, I've been missing your usual images of the Weardale wonders.

Looks like it's been there a long time. Nice capture Johnny. V

Nice composition with the fallen tree!
The question is ... if no-one heard it, did it make a noise??

Sorry Johnny....I typed in the wrong name, my apologies!
It certainly doesn't change my opinion, terrific work!

Well I sure do like these ones Scott, excellent work with the water drops and such wonderful detail with the moss on the downed tree!

Lovely bit of green in an almost colourless wood...

I wonder if some vibrations from the Ripon earthquake the other day helped it on its way?
Mairéad08-Jan-2011 20:40
Did it scream? It's always interesting to see how the winter storms leave
their mark on the woods.
marie-jose wolff08-Jan-2011 20:17
it fell silently in the forest numbed by winter... V

How do you know it wasn't pushed?

Some great additions to your drops gallery, as for the tree, I would have heard this one from my house ;-). And what on earth are people bickering about gates for ??
Faye White08-Jan-2011 18:54
I expect to see hobbits peeking through the trees. :)

Outstanding images Johnny!!! :))
I'd much prefer seeing superb work outside of a Challenge vs. mediocre work within a Challenge. :)

Many a philosopher has pondered this, but we yet to hear anything definitive from them

Treemendous shot, they'll have to get the special branch out to remove it...
