22nd - A Kind of Thaw

Cheltenham, Glos.

After four days of snow and daft sub-zero temperatures, today sees a slight rise in mercury and a corresponding thaw - the honeysuckle by the door is taking the brunt of the steady drip of melt-water from the roof but is looking pretty nonetheless. I was hoping for more spectacular icicles but this is as good as it gets around here

Lucky to have leaves left on it - its amazing how thick the ice is in comparison with thickness of the branches. Well seen and captured.

Fantabulous DOF of this leaf-chilling image!! :^)

I like how you "thaw" that—especially the little snowflake near the end of the leaf. V

This is spectacular enough, so frozen branches! No wonder Heathrow was closed for 4 days! :)

Well worth grabbing the camera for, upto the other side of zero for us today, even though it was only for a few hours.

Very clear and sharp with this narrow depth of field. Nicely composed.
