The Salt Market Square is one of the two smaller market squares situated on the crosswise axis of the town.
It is so called because salt brought from Drohobycz and Wieliczka mines was stored and sold here.
In 17th century around the market a Jewish quarter was established. The first on the left is "Rabbi's House" built in the middle of XVII c.
