contemplating some renovations to my property - brenda

This is my former boathouse which is now a cute little cottage complete with bow window, sofa and rustic charm (no electricity or plumbing, just a place to store stuff and hang out). It is normally well above the water level.

I'm really sorry to see and here all that. I can't even imagine how it is. My house is on the hill, but, as always, terrain is not stable and it is prone to slide, so who knows what can happen one day. Wish you to resolve your troubles the sun as possible.

Update: scratch the sofa, which is a mucky disaster now. CTV sent a cameraman and reporter to do an interview, and their clip of us dragging that old couch out of there was shown at least as far as Ontario, so I guess it must have made the national news on Friday night. I was lucky, though. Lost very little of much value although one box of old family photos was soaked. I managed to dry and salvage most of them though.

Looks more like a houseboat than a boathouse. Nice place though and it looks as though it's stoically taking it all in it's stride.
