11329 Trapped Rocks (9)

Bondi, NSW

Sue Roberts' sculpture of river rocks and stainless steel "expresses the feeling of entrapment and containment which everyone experiences in one way or another". Oh yeah, amen to that.

My depth of field may be feeling it as well in this one; I was still set to f/2.8 which left the front rocks a little further out of focus than I'd have liked. Normally I don't have anything more open than f/4 available so using the 50mm prime with its f/1.4 maximum aperture required a bit of a mindset change that I hadn't quite arrived at on this one.

Addendum: My personal opinion is that Facebook is a sociopathic organisation that steals other peoples' intellectual property (including the images in this gallery) despite being explicitly denied permission to do so.

The apparent random placement of these rocks is not at all random as you look more closely and intensely at the image. I like this one a lot.
