I watched this chipmunk very purposefully running back and forth across a small section of land near a parking lot at Nortel woods. Every so often he'd stop and sniff the ground. Eventually he came up with this hickory nut which he peeled in seconds flat. Here you can see the peeled nut in his mouth. He then made off with it at top speed.
