This picture is taken from Korsør over the Korsør Nor toward Tårnbjerg. On that hill there was a defence stronghold in the old day. It is mention as early as 1164. In those days it was surrounded by what is now called Korsør Nor, but today Korsør Nor is a lot smaller so a part of it is now called Halseby Sø. At that time there was a small village there and they built the church that is still in use. Around the year 1400 the inhabitants of this village moved to where Korsør is today as sailing was a lot easier from there.
