He is one of the cultural pioneers in Hong Kong, practicing as ...a writer, criti...c and media practitioner. He is one of the founders of the ‘City Magazine’ 《號外》, which has been the most influential cultural magazine in the 1970s and 1980s. His latest novel In an Age of Prosperity: China 2013 is a sardonic and disturbing fictional consideration of the ‘harmonious society’ engineered by China’s party-state since the tumultuous events of 1989. He resides at Beijing and shuttles between China, Hong Kong and Taiwan etc.
