Nearly finished. I've riveted a matching piece of textured aluminum roofing over the 'band-aid' patch. Below the aluminum is a bead of Silaprene which I squished out all four edges. No way for water to get in there! After the photo I caulked the head of each rivet to eliminate any chance of water intrusion there. The rivets are the weakest link, since they penetrate the entire substrate, but at least they are accessible should there be a problem.
