Four images: Final posting in the three part SERIES on two Juvenile Merlins that I've been watching. These images were taken on three consecutive days under different light conditions. All except the second were taken at 850.0mm.

Top Image: The dominant young lands at the very top of an dying old Oak Tree located in the back yard of some friends.

The more timid young awaiting breakfast on a branch in the nest tree. (The nest tree is located in a neighbours backyard, about three houses over from where the old Oak Tree is located.) The adults, however, did not serve breakfast there. Instead, they forced junior to come and get it in the old Oak Tree, where its sibling was already eating up.


Time for me to say " So long for now."

I'll be away to Cape Breton Island for the next 10 days where hopefully I'll get my first Puffin. Actually, my wife and I will be spending a week in a cottage along the Cabot Trail with our son and his three children. Will catch up when I get back.
