Oxford Mills. While looking for insects along a roadside full of wildflowers, I saw about 8 or 9 tiny little flies (less than 1/4 inch in size) flying and landing on the tips of grasses (as here). They were capturing prey even more minute than them, as you can see in this image. They looked to me like robber flies (Asilidae) but I had never seen such tiny ones and tend to think of robber flies as being fairly large. However, robber flies they are! Amazing.
