Poor little starling. I'm not a fan of starlings but I am of baby birds.

This baby must have fallen from the nest in our eaves or perhaps been pushed out. I found him on the lawn and rescued him to this tree to be out of range of my cat. Unfortunately his original fall must have been too much for him and he fell again so he was carefully put into the salal to be out of the eyesight of any prey.

Poor little guy, he looks so sad. Life is hard for young birds of any species. Thank you for helping him Margot! And you got a lovely photo out of it too. V
