This is the beginning of the only trip taken in the kayaks for this vacation. The girls were only out for an hour. I spent a lot more time than that getting them loaded for the trip, then shuttling them to the beach, back, and then unloading them at home. We camped on Long Lake, an 11 mile long lake (thus the name), it would have been a multi-day affair to kayak the whole lake. Long Lake is connected to Brandy Pond which is connected to Sebago Lake via the Songo Locks. All told, there are 45 miles of lake. Lots of boats.
