Beegie at the Sink

Started with the original image and applied Feivel's Gothic Glow Action http://www.atncentral.com/download.htm using the Center of Interest Option. The next step was to apply a texture to give it that antique look.

Not happy with the texture files I had in my collection I went downstairs to Bill's workshop to find some rust to photograph for the texture, but then decided upon the wood table on his radial arm saw which was covered with paint splotches. I shot that with my Sony DSC F717 and opened the image in photoshop, then desaturated it.

Next I pasted the texture image over that of of Beegie and saw it was too small, so I went to edit/transform/scale and stretched it to fit.

All that was left was to switch the blend mode in the layers palette to Soft Light and adjust the opacity.
