Took this from my roof with a Canon 100-400 zoom w/1.4 TC attached.
No, the Peaks were not actually on fire, that is the sun setting behind
them with the smoke in the foreground.

Gosh I hope you are safe from those fires. I've been listening to it on the news. Oh my, that looks ominous. The smoke always makes the sky turn vivid colors and looks like the smoke is causing the mountains to look blue. Amazing image and my prayers are for all of you in Arizona.
