Lisbon paid tribute today to the Portuguese Nobel laureate writer, José Saramago, who died at his home in Lanzarote yesterday. His body was brought back to Lisbon where it was taken to Lisbon's city hall where it will lie in repose until tomorrow when it will be taken to the crematorium. The Portuguese government declared two days of national mourning in honour of Saramago.
