First nuclear power plant, Arco, Idaho, 2010

Arco was the first place in the US to have its electrical power generated by a nuclear power plant. A neon sign marking the historic fact still glows on the walls of the plant, but only half of the sign is illuminated.

Thanks for filling us in with added context here, Tim. You give those ironies added meaning with it.

There are many ironies here - the first that only half the sign is lit - (don't put your faith in nuclear) and the second is that when I checked with a staff member he told me that the image sign was no longer powered by atomic power that the congress closed down the plant that was supplying the power.
