First decide on where you want your signature. I like mine in
the bottom right.

Reset your colour swatches so that the background is white.
Increase your canvas size to the size you chose for your signature image.
Use the anchor point to decide where you want your signature.

You want your image size to be the same as your signature file and ignore the
white spaces on the sides.
