Scorpion fly, (Mecoptera), male

Larose Forest. Notice the curled over abdomen here. It looks like the stinger of a scorpion, hence the common name of scorpion fly for this group of insects.

Nice shot. Looks just like our Scorpion flies. Maybe ours are a little have a little more yellow body but this could be an immature specimen. V
