Downy fringetree (Chionanthus virginicus)

This lovely small tree with the most unusual flowers was taken in the Arboretum. Apparently this tree is native to the eastern US, so many people will probably be familiar with it, but I was not.

I've seen them before but still amazed when I do. Not normally found anywhere in Texas, that is for sure!
