About a mile shy of the tag, I noticed this trail that shot off the road to the left, turns out it led to a pond that was a few hundred more feet down the road. I didn't make it to the pond on the trail, though I could see it. At this point, I've turned around and have already backtracked a bit. I'd just gone up the slight rocky embankment behind the bike, dragging the centerstand in the process. There was some mud back there too. This was a trail more suited for a DR650, though I couldn't convince my wife of my dire need for another bike ;-)
