The cloud on the horizon scuppered my original plans for a sunset but fortunately the sky had been so ominous just preceding sunset that I was tempted into this really moody shot with an alien space ship coming into land. The rippled sand created some great texture and the twilight blue from the glowering sky created some wonderful colour in direct opposition to the golden light bursting through the clouds. Even with the contrast proving a handful I am very pleased with the result which is arguably better than the one I had originally hung about for.
