Not my first dirt of the year, but my first shot on dirt of the year. Out on Plum Island in Mass.
After another review, I've decided to promote this photo to today's PaD over my previous choice. This one really sums up today's experience.

I set out this evening a little late, heading for the Northern New England Tag. I'd not done my homework as the tag wasn't out on the stretch of road I thought it was, it was actually on the other side of the river to the camera left. I was able to log about 11 miles of dirt though. Ten miles of which were along this stretch of road on Plum Island. I'd never been here before, I will most likely be back with my wife & we can walk around and enjoy it. This is in the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Plum Island. I wanted Nelson Island.
