Another subject that draws attention are the old buildings in the area. These buildings are on private property, so respect the owners property. We did not find much historical info on most of the buildings, but if you inquired with the locals they sometimes could give you some background information. The one exception was the Parker-Hickman Settlement, which we stumbled on when we were lost looking for a waterfall, the park had info plaques at this site. Get maps!! Maybe that's why they call this area LOST VALLEY.
