Beautiful moment to take this shot, the snow melting and all the browns and yellows coming back... It's a wonderful scene!

This is the time of the year to get these images – before the snow goes from the hill tops but while most of it has gone from the lower slopes. I like the composition a lot. It is fascinating landscape and the patches of snow highlight landscape features to good effect. It is though far from being a wild landscape; it is one of the designed landscapes which are feature of many of the Upper Deeside estates, but it is none the worse for that. The designers did a good job and a location a bit further downstream was famously used for a John West salmon advert a few years ago, looking as it does like the wilds of Alaska.

A splendid view and maybe spring is on it way. Well seen and agree it does have a Lord of the Rings feel to it.
