The key to this photo is the Pizzeria in the background. Badger Island Pizzeria to be exact. Apparently the owner of the Pizzeria was on the news a couple of nights ago (Sunday?) in a highly emotional state giving his opinion of the lack of power on the island. I heard about this on my drive in yesterday (I don't watch TV News). The morning DJ's on WBLM were talking about the interview and they actually called the Pizzeria to talk to the owner. They got the owner and had him on the air for a little while, then they talked to his wife. Badger Island is this little teeny island between Kittery Maine and Portsmouth, NH. The Maine half of the Memorial Bridge (the Southernmost Maine-NH Bridge) is on Badger Island. This morning I decided to head to the island because of a potentially cool spot I was told about to photograph Portsmouth, NH. When I pulled into the "Cool Spot" I noticed the large numbers of Utility Vehicles (some were from PA) and figured this shot might hold some signifigance since it looked like the Pizzeria would be getting power.
No Badgers or Utility workers were harmed during the photography session.
