Where there are vultures

I'm not a great fan of photographing vultures. But Peter, my driver-guide, educated me by saying vultures are necessary for sustaining the balance of nature. Once lions, hyenas and other predators have had their feast, vultures clean up the remains and help prevent the spread of disease.

In case you didn't notice, the spot of golden brown skin on the left side centre belongs to a sleeping lion.

So where there are vultures, a full-fed lion must be somewhere near.
