We lost someone today. A member of our Faire family. We weren't close friends, but we had started to get to know one another better. He was a good man, an excellent performer, and an amazing person. So many people are mourning today. It's easy to forget how many lives we touch in the course of our own life, and when things get dark it's very easy to believe that we are all alone. Bert, you weren't alone, and you still aren't. You are loved by a lot of people in a lot of ways. I hope that you see that now. I'm sorry that it got so dark for a moment that the darkness obscured that fact for the instant that it took for you to make the irrevocable decision.

I hope that you are happy where you are now and that you realize how loved you are by so many. I wish we'd had a chance to have that dinner together that we talked about at Apocalyptalooza. I'm sorry I don't get to cook for you now. See you down the road...
