1971 D-44

This guitar had a split tail block and top crack when I acquired it in 2008. Someone had tried to
glue the tailblock... and missed. the white glue residue is obvious, as is glue from a previous
owners attempt to glue the top crack. I had both cracks professionally glued and cleated when I
received the guitar. You can see the end-block re-inforcement, and two of the top cleats (right side justabove middle).

If you look closely just past the shadow of the bridge plate on the top of the guitar, you can see
a faint glue line... evidence that the bridge plate has been replaced at some point. The diagonal
grain direction on the bridge plate is also consistent with it being a replacement... all my other
dreads have bridge plates with grain oriented at right angles to the top grain.
