Dad and Mum in Japan

Arashiyama, Kyoto-fu, Japan view map

Well, they finally came to Japan on the 2nd of October. The first day of their visit was rainy, so we don't have any nice location photos from that day. However, on the second day of their visit the weather came good. So, after finishing our English lessons in the morning we met up with them and decided to bring them to Arashiyama since they have been enjoying my gallery of photos from there. We had a lovely half day at Arashiyama, giving them a chance to soak up the traditional atmosphere there and also go for a walk through some bamboo groves and out into the semi-countryside.
During their 10 day visit, Dad gave two messages (here and here) at our church (Shining Lights Church). We got to go to quite a number of places (I'm planning to post more details in the next few BLOGS). Mum and Dad were able to get a bit of a taste of our life here and also some of the many varied things Japan has to offer: natural wonders, architectural marvels, transportation, food and culture.

Nice report, James. I'm glad they were able to get a feel for your environment. It makes subsequent correspondence in any format much more 'real'.

Your Dad and Mom look too young to have an older child (not a put down on your age) that was nice your parents did that. Hope you had a good time. : ) v
