Fall is the time of year that I traditionally grow a beard. I usually have a very trim moustache & goattee year-round. There is something about the fall and winter that I like to let it grow out. At least I've been doing this since I got out of the military (10 years ago) and CAN grow a beard. Ten years ago, it was a lot different, my kids were much younger and less (my son wasn't even conceived). Reading "Little House On The Prairre" to my girls seemed to mean a little more when they could play with my beard as I read about "Pa's Beard". I cinched up my hoodie for this as it is all about the moustache/beard and not really the face. I appear to be hooked on FGR.
