Day 52

Highway between Gardiner, Mt and Livingston, Mt

Sept 27, Sun - day 52
Weather - low 34(0C) to high of mid 60s (18C) clear and sunny with no smoke and breezy

Image: Photo of the area between Gardiner, Mt and Livingston, Mt, seen on our last trip through Yellowstone National Park.

After yesterday’s adventure we had a big sleep-in, then we started to prepare Gus for the next move. With snow and 20F (-7C) temps forecast for Wed and Thur, Monday seemed like a good day to travel out of the 6,667 foot altitude of West Yellowstone and head for the warmer temps of eastern Washington.

So today it was unhook the sewer, move Gus ahead, put the car-dolly on Gus, and then put the Red Rocket on the car-dolly. No problems, I just drove the Red Rocket around the block and then through the driveway of the house behind us and right onto the car dolly. (‘You gotta love it when a plan comes together’.) All went well, then it was just re-hook the water, cable, and electrical and we were set for this evening and an early start tomorrow morning.

Next was the laundry, and then it was rest time and hope that Gus would start ok tomorrow morning (I didn’t want any repeats of the thrill I got at Mt. Home).
The adventure continues….
