Kilimanjaro Team

Warsaw, Poland

For TITC ""Crystal Clear""
I'm off to the airport for a women trekking expedition to Africa (Tanzania), the main goal is to climb Kilimanjaro, then a one day photo safari and finally 4 days on Zanzibar. This will be a 12 women group, we are all in a "Kilimanjaro Association" that we organized and started the idea two years ago. It helps women changing their lives, after several years at home with kids, who now want to start a new professional life, to find a job and to do something new in their lives. In our association we make trainings for them, teach them how to use computer and internet (yes, there are still people who don't), how to write a CV, what to wear, how to speak to look and sound proffesional etc, etc.

Our motto is "everybody has its own mountain to reach" and our expedition is supposed to be a literal example, but refers to all life problems people face and have to deal with. We are all ordinary women, with kids or not, different age, different proffesions, we were working on this trip for over 1.5 years. This expedition is to prove that even a hard goal, which seems too difficult, or even impossible, can be reached. Just like the Kilimanjaro summit.

Leszek Cichy, a well known alpinist, is our guide.
Leszek Cichy is a Polish mountaineer, geodesist, financier, and entrepreneur.
He is best known for making the first winter ascent of Mount Everest together with Krzysztof Wielicki in 1980 which established the winter ascent record of 8,848 meters.
He was also the first Polish climber to complete the Seven Summits.

This is wonderful. I have said in the past its not as much to conquer the mountain but to have the strength to face it.
