From this perspective you can see the column-lined road of Ephesus and a crane over the Ephesus Theater. The grand boulevard of Ephesus comes down the hill from the right, turns towards the center of the photo and then, once in front of the Theater, to the left towards the harbor. The hillsides surrounding Ephesus were covered in homes during ancient times. It is thought that less than 15% of Ephesus has been excavated.
