The globular cluster M-2 lies in Aquarius and is about 50,000 light years distant. This image was made with a Nikon D300 and a Sigma 500mm f/4.5 lens with a 2X teleconverter. It was taken on Aug. 12, 2009 from Harrington Beach State Park in Wisconsin. It is a combination of 4 exposures of 4 minutes each.
