A BC Ferry is a big ship, 3 levels for cars and commercial vehicles as well as walk on passengers. The trip from Vancouver Island to Vancouver takes from 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on the route you take. You often see seals, sea lions and occasional killer whales during the crossing.
