It was 98 degrees outside with a heat index of 110. Therefore, Sari and I only stayed out on the deck about 5 minutes in total.
Sari wisely took refuge from the beating sun in the little bit of shade provided by my 10" tall herb planter box. This proves that dogs know how to handle August heat better than we humans. While I was standing out in the full sun to photograph the dog, the dog was laying in the one spot of shade & was undoubtedly thinking I was crazy. Our city was under a Heat Warning; so temperatures were too high for man or beast - or for Woman & Chihuahua. So much for Sunday on the deck.
