Enron Continental Towers from Petroleum Club 01

Houston downtown

our department held its first journal club of the new academic year at Houston's venerable Petroleum club
I had the where-with-all to bring a tripod & managed to take a few shots from the room in which the meeting was held
unfortunately there was no outdoor balcony available, so this was taken through glass
the considerable glare from the room lights thwarted my getting this compositon & I did not have the presence of mind to ask the waiters to close the huge drapes, as this is not a simple matter for them & I did not want to prolong their evening's work
the reflections took a near Herculean effort in PS to put right, but I am pleased with the results
the former Enron complex is to the right & the Continental Tower to the left
I put up the unretouched original in my techniques gallery here ------> http://www.pbase.com/artichoke/image/115603342

Great colors on this Dr. Art! When you have a moment, please critique my galleries at www.eleanorjanephotography.com. When you're ready to sell your D3X, I'm your first customer! Eleanor
