Solar Eclipse, 22 July 2009
This was shot as the eclipse was starting ...and as the weather got worse here. Shortly after this was taken the rains came and they stayed through the peak of the eclipse. We had 98.6% totality, but it was impossible to get any shots of it. I did manage one grainy shot, ten minutes after maximum obscuration, but through a high, thin, cloud layer.
It was still nice to see the sky darken, street lights come on and things take on that strange look.
