A nearby farm has two pair of peacocks that run loose on the acreage and every once in awhile we get a glimpse of them. Today one of the pair was close enough that our shutters were snapping as warp speed! Peacock facts: Peacocks are large, colourful pheasants (typically blue and green) known for their iridescent tails. Their body is approximately 35 to 50 in (90 to 130 cm) tall and their tail is about 5 ft (1.5 m) long. A male peafowl is one of the largest flying birds when the combined length of its train and its large wingspan are considered.
