Nice dramatic and mood-setting treatment of this subject. The radiating lines of green in the centre makes the reds 'pop' even more. Very sharp and well-composed DOF.

I shot it against a light blue sky as a RAW image. I then lowered the exposure to bring some info into the hightlights in the centre of the flower. Set the contrast to medium. The sky darkened so I increased the dark contrast and lowered the hightight contrast. It just happened. This was done in RawShooter and tweeked in Elements Six. James T.
