I am pleased to say that Port Allen has not been destroyed (at least not yet) by some developer building a house right on the bank of the river. It seems they were actually building a boat slipway; making it easier to gain access to the water than hitherto. Still... no sign of any planning application for said slipway. I wonder if the council knows?
