We took a break just before getting to the "vibrating ground." Ned Heathershaw tried a little fishing while Jack Quirk(standing), TSgt Bryant and Gene Smith looked on. The water here was so clear that we could clearly see the rocks on the bottom. Before leaving the lake to traverse the muskeg, Ned decided to drop a line and try his luck. I believe the mountains in the background were those back up the peninsula. They probably include Frosty. We headed west to find a place to cross the water and get to the Bering Sea.
