Arizona Gophersnake

Near Home, Texas Canyon, Dragoon, Ariz

My daughter and I took a long walk through the desert of Texas Canyon and came upon this beauty!
He was right in the middle of the road and allowed us to pass by without incident.
In fact, he was a very cooperative subject.
The Arizona Gophersnake can be more than 7 feet long, is a powerful constrictor,
and is described as a "good" snake.
