This is the blind where my friend Mike and I spent our first night. It's very cozy for two people. The cranes arrive around sunset, roost on the sandbars in the river, and take off in the morning. Photographers are taken to the blind by Rowe Sanctuary staff and must stay inside until a staff member returns in the morning. This is to ensure that the birds aren't flushed too soon which might put them in danger. Since the blind is so close to the birds, we had to be really quiet inside. The blind had 4 viewing ports - one on each side and two on the front. Needless to say, it was quite cozy for two people!
