Ponte Dom Luis in Porto - Christa (cnb)

This beautiful steel bridge - designed by Gustave Eiffel - spans the Douro river in Portugal, connecting Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia (where the Port wineries are).

Thanks Colin and Dennis. I also found this bridge interesting because cars pass below, while trams go above, and pedestrians can cross at either level. We were standing on the Vila Nova de Gaia side here, looking across towards Porto.

Real nice, Great shot of the bridge and I like how there is just enough light to make out the town piling up the hill on the opposite bank.
There is a very similar bridge in central France by Gustave, but its in the middle of nowhere so your is much more interesting.

Yes it does look like a beautiful bridge. Well taken Christa, you have captured well and I like star effect of the lights. The headlights of the two cars on the bridge are a great touch.
