Didcot - Bruce

Didcot Power Station in Oxfordshire is a notorious landmark, built on the plain, and visible for miles around.
It often changes the weather locally, as on this freezing winter evening. The cloud from the cooling towers filled
half the sky. It can make some great sunsets though : )

Sorry about that Art. This is only water vapour condensing from the cooling towers.

This shot brings back unpleasant memories... reminds me too much of the smoke plume from ground zero which lasted for days after the towers came down.

Yes this is an amazing sight! Whilst they can be a blight on the landscape I can see the beauty in this shot. Very well captured Bruce.

Wow, how amazing! We have a power plant just about 40 miles northwest of the cities and I've seen them during the winter billowing thier steam but nothing as dramatic as this! Funny how our Nuclear Power Plants are becoming prominant landmarks all across the earth. Beautiful photograph Bruce, very nice!
