BX(Base Exchange)

Cold Bay Air Force Station, AK

While at Cold Bay, I ordered new cameras for myself and my father through the base exchange. Both 35mm SLR's, mine was a Mamiya/Sekor 1000 DTL, and my father's was a Pentax ME. My father was the person that had influenced me to take up photography as a hobby. The Pentax and Mamiya were the second SLR's for both of us. Both of our first SLRs were Kowas. On the subject of cameras, one of the first things I bought at the BX was a Yashica 635, twin lens reflex(TLR). It and the Mamiya/Sekor were used for many of my Cold Bay photos.
